As we have mentioned that Akita was chosen as a place for the 2012 Miss Universe Japan audition, here is an update.

The semi-finalists who won 2012 Miss Universe Japan in Akita Prefecture are now preparing for the Japan final in a Beauty Camp for 12 days. The training started from November 12th in Akita City, where they were assembled at a fashion school to select individual wedding dresses for the Japan final.
The camp has been held at various locations around Akita Prefecture, including Tazawako Hotel Ischia in our town, Tazawako, Semboku City. They have visited some sponsoring businesses such as Bee Skep, a honey shop near Lake Tazawa.
During the camp, the contestants will be focusing on walking, voicing, make-ups, and nail cares. They have been trained under the guidance of some experts from the related industry in Japan, like the winner of 2010 Miss Universe Japan, Maiko Itai, to prepare for the regional final in Akita City that will be held on December 5th, 2011.
