Access

FROM TOKYO AREA

JR SHINKANSEN:

1. Take Akita Shinkansen Komachi (Super-Express) bound for Akita.
2. JR Tazawako Station is the first stop in Akita Prefecture. (3 hours)

*  If you are a foreign traveler, consider JR East Pass. It allows you unlimited rides on certain JR trains.

DRIVE:

1. Take Freeway, Tohoku Jidoshado (東北自動車道) to north (6-7hrs).
2. Take exit 'Morioka I.C.' (盛岡ＩＣ)
3. Take Route 46 to the west for 45-60 minutes.

BUS:

• Lake-and-Port-Go (レイク&ポート号）is an overnight bus between Tokyo / Yokohama and Tazawako. 
• Reservation: Ugo Kotsu (羽後交通：tel 0182-32-9500) / Enoden Bus (江ノ電バス：tel 0466-24-5006)
  

FROM AKITA AIRPORT

DIRECT SHUTTLE BUS:

• Take Akita Airport Liner　（秋田エアポートライナー）, a door-to-door shuttle bus that connects between Tazawako Area and Akita Airport. 

BUS/TRAIN:

1. Take a local bus to JR Akita Station.
2. Take Akita Shinkansen Komachi (Super-Express Train) bound for Tokyo and get off at JR Tazawako Station.

DRIVE:

• From Akita City      -- Take Route 13, then  Route 46 to east. (90 mins)
• From Omagari City  –  Take Route 105. (50-70 mins)
• From Morioka City -- Take Route 46 to the west (45-60 mins)
