Slow Life Monitor Tour is back

Slow Movement seems rapidly expanding in a global community. They say it started as a way to protest against the culture that promotes ''fast-food''. Semboku City is one of the little pockets on the earth where the movement hasn't reached but existed before even recognized as a global movement. Consider even the world's largest fast food chain hasn't even reached here, and it doesn't seem to anytime soon.
Now we are living in the time when things change more and more rapidly. But, if you want the basic connection with people and the community, slowness is the key in the life!

For decades, Semboku City has been hosting hundreds of those mindful people who want to start a life based on the nearness to the environment and the community. If you are wondering how to get a glimpse of the life in a small village of Japan, here is your chance!

What a great programme!
How I wish me and my family can join too. :)
It is interesting to know that Semboku doesn't have a fast food outlet. Really? Wow!
But with all the great Japanese food out there, why would one need fast food, right? :)

Well, we do have some shops with a sign says "fastfood" but what they mean is some dish which is prepared "fast"---like Ramen, Kiritanpo(local specialty of broiled rice ball on stick), and Takoyaki. People are healthy-conscious and live with and in the nature. We are blessed here with a wide variety of great foods from the nature :)
